I had to tell Keith, my mtn bike buddy (b/c we’re the most out of shape in the shop), that no I didn’t want him to invite (his friend and a “rival” shop mngr) Larry to ride with us because one of the first interactions I had with Larry was him being super condescending to me. Yes he smoked us out on the drive to the trail but FIRST after we put on the bike rack he said something like “Well, Emily, now that you’ve seen how easy it is to put this on, you can really tell your customers about it.” LIKE I HAVEN’T BEEN SELLING THAT SUPER POPULAR AND OBVIOUSLY EASY RACK FOR YEARS. YOU DON’T KNOW ME. YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT I’VE DONE. Keith understood. Larry will not be invited. Also I’m glad Larry’s marriage fell apart.
